LOCK N' POP products are used by manufacturers of soft drinks and mineral waters
Soft drinks and mineral waters are typically packed into cardboard trays and secured with shrink wrap. These are difficult to stablise on a pallet and generally require multiple turns of shrink wrap.
LOCK N' POP adhesive is an effective alternative. Pallet loads of shrink wrapped trays secured with LOCK N' POP adhesive are stable and easy to break at the retail store.
Coca-Cola bottlers in Elizabethtown, Kentucky uses LOCK N' POP fluids and has found a remarkable difference in equipment maintenance between Lock N' POP and stretch wrap.
"Since the (Lock N' POP) system was installed, the filter has been cleaned just once. The stretch wrap machines, on the other hand, require weekly lube jobs, frequent repair of their complex electronic components and yearly replacement of turntable bearings. The stretch wrappers routinely go down a half dozen days a year, during which time forklift operators must resort to manual wrapping."
